Paris-based Primo has raised €6.9 million ($8 million) in a new funding round to expand its AI-native platform and deploy autonomous agents across corporate IT operations. The round was led by Headline and Global Founders Capital, with participation from Arthur Waller and Romain Niccoli, the co-founders and CEOs of French software companies Pennylane and Pigment.
Founded in 2022 by Martin Pannier, Primo brings together company devices, SaaS applications, employee information, access permissions and IT support within a single platform. The company is now building autonomous AI agents on top of this unified data layer, allowing IT teams to automate complex processes from start to finish.
Unlike traditional AI assistants that primarily answer questions or recommend actions, Primo's agents can execute IT workflows directly. During employee onboarding, for example, an agent can detect a new hire through the HR system, order the appropriate hardware, prepare the computer, assign SaaS access based on the employee's role and open a welcome ticket. When an employee leaves, the same system can reverse the process and revoke access to sensitive systems.
Primo says it now serves more than 400 customers across 10 countries, including ASL Airlines and Attio, with customers ranging from startups and scaleups to SMEs employing between 50 and 2,000 people. The company has also reported fourfold year-over-year revenue growth, with annual recurring revenue surpassing €3.4 million ($4 million).
The platform's approach is built around giving AI agents access to the operational context they need, including employee data, devices, applications, permissions and company policies, while allowing customers to define the controls under which agents can act. Primo argues that this infrastructure enables agents to perform real IT work rather than simply provide recommendations.
The fresh capital will be used for hiring and international expansion. With international customers already representing more than half of Primo's user base, the company plans to deepen its presence in the UK, Germany, Benelux and Nordic markets while putting autonomous AI agents at the centre of its broader IT platform.
