Konsileo Raises €5.9M to Build a More AI-Enabled Commercial Insurance Brokerage

UK-based Konsileo has secured €5.9 million (£5 million) in fresh equity financing as the commercial insurance broker prepares for another phase of expansion. The round was backed by existing investors Committed Capital and ACF Investors, extending their support for the company’s technology-led approach to insurance broking.
The company was founded by John Warburton and Peter Henderson, who built Konsileo around the idea that brokers should spend less time dealing with administrative processes and more time advising clients. Warburton is CEO, while Henderson serves as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.
Rather than following the traditional brokerage model, Konsileo operates with self-managed teams and a decentralised structure. Its technology is designed to give brokers greater independence while removing much of the repetitive work associated with insurance administration and compliance.
The company has developed its own broking platform, which automates administrative processes, incorporates compliance checks and helps brokers collect more detailed information about their clients’ risks. It also operates Riskube, an online insurance and risk-management system through which clients can access and manage their policies.
This technology-first model has supported Konsileo’s organic expansion without relying on acquisitions. The company now has more than 220 employees and arranges over £85 million in annual insurance premiums for businesses across sectors including construction, healthcare, technology and professional services.
AI is becoming the next layer of that technology strategy. Konsileo has already begun incorporating artificial intelligence into its broker workflows, with the aim of reducing manual effort while giving its professionals better tools to serve clients. The company says its broader technology stack has already helped cut traditional process inefficiencies substantially.
The new investment will support further recruitment of experienced insurance professionals, continued development of Konsileo’s technology platform and deeper integration of AI. The company also intends to maintain its broker-by-broker growth strategy rather than pursuing expansion primarily through acquisitions.
The latest financing follows a €3.2 million raise in 2018 and an €9.4 million combination of debt and equity financing completed in 2024. With additional capital now available, Konsileo is positioning its combination of specialist brokers, proprietary technology and AI-enabled workflows as an alternative model for the UK commercial insurance market.
