Hadrian Secures €35.7M to Bring Continuous AI-Powered Offensive Security to Enterprises

Cybersecurity company Hadrian has secured €35.68 million ($40 million) in fresh funding to expand its AI-powered approach to offensive security across Europe and the United States. Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin co-led the round, joined by existing backers HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital and Oetker Ventures. The latest investment takes Hadrian’s total funding to approximately €58 million ($65 million).
Founded in Amsterdam in 2021, Hadrian was created by Rogier Fischer, Olivier Beg and Maurice Clin. The founders built the company around a simple idea: security teams should be able to examine their infrastructure from the perspective of an attacker, continuously and at a scale that conventional penetration-testing teams cannot match.
Rather than relying on periodic vulnerability scans, Hadrian uses autonomous AI agents to examine an organisation’s internet-facing environment, uncover exposed assets and determine which weaknesses could actually be exploited. This distinction is important for security teams dealing with huge numbers of alerts, where theoretical vulnerabilities can easily obscure the problems that represent a genuine attack path.
Its platform brings continuous attack-surface management and automated penetration testing together. Atlas maintains an ongoing picture of an organisation’s external digital footprint and validates potential exposures, while Nova provides on-demand agentic penetration testing that can investigate attack paths in considerably greater depth. The two products share information, allowing teams to move from discovering an exposure to testing it without restarting the process.
Hadrian says customers using the platform have achieved 10x greater visibility into critical exposures, 80% faster remediation and 5x the return on investment compared with manual penetration testing. The company also reports that its automated discovery capabilities save security teams more than 10 hours each week.
The company already serves enterprises in Europe and the US, including McKesson, NBCUniversal, Francisco Partners, TotalEnergies, Amadeus, Leroy Merlin and Damen Shipyard. Hadrian says more than 300 enterprises worldwide now use its security platform.
The new capital will be directed toward expanding Hadrian’s engineering and research capabilities and accelerating its presence across EMEA and the US. As AI gives attackers new ways to automate reconnaissance and exploitation, Hadrian is betting that autonomous offensive security can give defenders a way to continuously test their real-world exposure before those weaknesses are turned against them.
