Amsterdam-Based Duqu Raises €1.5 Million to Unlock Cash Tied Up in Unpaid Invoices

Amsterdam-based Duqu has raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding from Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures to help businesses access cash tied up in outstanding B2B invoices. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its working capital platform and its proprietary AI-powered underwriting technology.
Founded in October 2025 by Maas de Goede, Victor Brouwer, and Diederik Nassenstein, Duqu addresses a common cash-flow problem for businesses that have completed work but may wait weeks or months before customers pay their invoices. Its platform allows companies to receive an advance against an outstanding invoice without selling the invoice or giving up control of the customer relationship.
Co-founder Maas de Goede says the platform is designed around the idea that business growth should not have to wait for an invoice payment. Once an invoice is approved, businesses can receive the funds within 24 hours, and often within an hour. Duqu does not impose a minimum or maximum advance amount, and businesses only pay a fee when they use the service.
At the core of the platform is Duqu's proprietary AI underwriting engine, which automates around 95% of the credit assessment process. The company has spent roughly 18 months developing the technology, which can assess applications according to specific credit policies. Duqu is also making the technology available as a white-label solution for banks, lenders, and leasing companies, allowing them to automate credit assessments without replacing their existing policies.
The startup says nearly 1,500 businesses are already using its platform and that it has processed more than €4.6 million in applications, with over €1.2 million advanced to businesses. The company has also reported that applications have been growing rapidly since its launch.
With the latest funding, Duqu will scale both sides of its business: providing faster working capital to companies and developing its AI underwriting infrastructure for other financial services providers. The broader goal is to make smaller credit and working capital applications faster and more economical to process.
