Treble Technologies has raised approximately €15 million ($18 million) in a Series A-2 round to expand its sound simulation and synthetic acoustic data platform into physical AI, robotics and next-generation voice-enabled devices. The round was led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. The latest financing brings Treble’s total funding to €36 million.

Founded in Reykjavík in 2020 by acoustic engineers Dr. Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Treble has developed a cloud-based platform that uses physics-based simulation to model how sound behaves in real-world environments. The company’s broader founding team also includes Gunnar Pétur Hauksson and Ingimar Andersen.

Treble’s technology creates acoustic digital twins of rooms, vehicles, devices and other physical environments. These virtual environments can reproduce how sound waves travel, reflect and decay, allowing engineers and AI developers to test products and generate labelled synthetic audio data without relying entirely on costly physical recordings and prototypes.

The approach is particularly relevant to the development of physical AI, where machines need to perceive and respond to the real world. While many robotics systems have focused heavily on vision and touch, Treble is working to give these systems stronger auditory perception. Its simulations can model background noise, reverberation, microphone placement and other acoustic conditions that affect voice and sound recognition.

Treble already works with major technology companies including Amazon and Logitech. Amazon has used virtual acoustic environments from Treble during stages of Alexa development, while Logitech uses the platform to simulate complex acoustic environments that can be difficult to reproduce consistently in physical testing.

The company previously raised €11 million in Series A funding in 2024, led by KOMPAS VC. With the new capital, Treble plans to expand further into the U.S. market and strengthen its position in physical AI, robotics, wearables, autonomous vehicles and other audio-enabled products.

As machines increasingly interact with people in unpredictable environments, Treble is building infrastructure that allows developers to simulate those acoustic conditions before products reach the real world—making sound and voice a more integrated part of the physical AI development stack.
