Hackuity Raises €16 Million to Automate Cyber Vulnerability Remediation - Prime World Media Funding News

Lyon-based cybersecurity company Hackuity has raised €16 million ($19 million) in new funding to accelerate product innovation, expand its AI capabilities and support international growth across Europe and Asia. The round was led by Forgepoint Capital International, with participation from existing investors Bright Pixel, Bpifrance and Seventure Partners, bringing Hackuity’s total funding to €32 million ($38 million).

Founded in 2018 by cybersecurity veterans Patrick Ragaru and Pierre Polette, Hackuity was created around a straightforward challenge: security teams were discovering thousands of vulnerabilities but lacked an effective way to determine which ones presented the greatest risk and needed immediate action. Ragaru serves as CEO and co-founder.

Hackuity has developed an AI-powered Vulnerability Operations Center (VOC) that brings together fragmented vulnerability and asset data from security tools into a unified platform. Its technology aggregates information from more than 130 security tools, applies risk-based scoring and helps security, IT and engineering teams coordinate remediation.

Rather than treating every vulnerability equally, Hackuity analyses factors including vulnerability severity, exploitability, threat intelligence, asset criticality and business impact to determine which issues require attention first. The platform can then orchestrate remediation workflows across existing security and IT environments.

The company’s latest funding comes as the volume of security vulnerabilities continues to grow. Hackuity points to more than 350,000 known Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), while AI-assisted discovery is adding further pressure to already stretched security teams. The company also cites Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview, which identified more than 10,000 high- or critical-severity flaws in under two months, with 99% still unpatched.

Hackuity currently supports more than 6,000 users, protects over 2 million assets and manages approximately 1 billion findings. Customers include ENGIE and BPCE, while Orange Cyberdefense has also selected the platform for its Exposure Management portfolio.

According to Hackuity, customers have reduced critical-vulnerability noise to as little as 0.01%, improved mean time to remediation by 3x and automated up to 70% of exposure-management activities.

The new capital will allow Hackuity to further develop its agentic AI capabilities, expand its product offering and accelerate international expansion. The company’s goal is to help enterprises move from simply discovering vulnerabilities to continuously prioritising and remediating the security risks that matter most.
