London-based AI recruitment startup Jack & Jill has raised €34.68 million ($40 million) in a Series A round to scale its AI agents for both jobseekers and employers and build what it believes could become a new model for hiring.
The round was led by Air Street Capital, with new investors Madrona and Antler joining existing backers including Creandum, Ada Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, Expedite Capital, Repeat.vc, Dig Ventures, Firedrop, Episode 1 and Playfair.
Two AI Agents for Two Sides of Hiring
Founded in March 2025 by Matthew Wilson, CEO, and Saaras Mehan, CTO, Jack & Jill is built around two AI agents with different roles.
Jack works with jobseekers through voice conversations, acting more like a career coach than a conventional job-search chatbot. It learns what candidates actually want from their next role, including preferences that may never appear on a CV, and scans millions of open positions to identify relevant opportunities.
Jill works on the employer side. It studies job descriptions, researches companies and asks hiring teams questions about what success in a role looks like. It then searches Jack's network for suitable candidates.
When both agents identify a strong match, they introduce the candidate and company directly — without requiring the candidate to submit a traditional application.
Growing Network and Hiring Activity
Jack has already generated 12,000 hours of conversations with professionals, including one user who has called the agent 144 times.
Since its $20 million seed round in October 2025, Jack & Jill says its professional network has grown tenfold to 350,000 people. Jill has worked with around 5,000 businesses, including Ramp, Attio, Multiverse and Corgi.
Together, the two agents have facilitated 25,000 interviews, with another 5,000 interviews now being arranged each month.
From Omnipresent to Jack & Jill
Before founding Jack & Jill, Wilson co-founded and co-led employer-of-record company Omnipresent, which was acquired by Deel in 2025. Mehan previously co-founded Kular, a Y Combinator-backed startup, and was an England chess international. The company now has 25 employees across London and San Francisco, including 15 former founders.
The new Series A brings Jack & Jill's total funding to €52.9 million ($60 million). The company plans to use the latest capital primarily to expand across the United States, following launches in San Francisco in January and New York in June.
Jack & Jill says US traction has already accelerated faster than in London, with nearly four times as many interviews completed across San Francisco and New York over comparable post-launch periods, while revenue has increased 40-fold since the seed round.
The company's broader vision is an AI-mediated job market where an agent represents both candidates and employers, making introductions only when there is genuine mutual fit and reducing the noise created by mass applications and automated outreach.
