Actionable Raises €8.6 Million to Scale Its Predictive Customer Experience Platform - Prime World Media Funding News

Paris-based Actionable, an AI-powered customer experience startup, has raised €8.5 million in funding to expand its predictive customer intelligence platform and help large businesses better understand what their customers are likely to do next.

Actionable’s technology goes beyond traditional customer surveys and dashboards. Its platform analyses existing customer and transaction data to identify which customers are likely to leave, complain, remain satisfied, or make another purchase — and, importantly, why.

Funding Led by

The latest round was led by Hi inov – Dentressangle, with existing investor Axeleo Capital also increasing its investment in the company. The new funding follows Actionable’s €2 million pre-Seed round announced in 2024.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate its growth, strengthen its technology and expand its presence internationally, including further development of its business in the US.

Turning Customer Data Into Predictions

Most companies already collect huge amounts of customer data through CRM systems, transactions, customer-service interactions and other digital channels. The challenge is turning all of that information into something teams can actually act on.

That is where Actionable comes in.

Its platform creates a predictive view of the customer base, helping businesses understand who may churn, who could complain, who is likely to buy again and what factors are driving those behaviours. Rather than looking at customer satisfaction only through periodic surveys, companies can monitor customer behaviour continuously.

Actionable says its platform now analyses data covering 117 million customers and €37 billion in transactions, with customers including Carrefour, SNCF, ENGIE, Boulanger and Edenred.

The Founders Behind Actionable

Actionable was founded by Nicolas Rieul and Nans Thomas.

Nicolas Rieul

Nicolas Rieul, co-founder and co-CEO, previously served as Managing Director at Criteo. His experience working with large companies helped shape Actionable’s focus on turning customer data into practical business decisions.

Rieul has highlighted a common problem in customer experience: companies often have plenty of measurements showing that satisfaction or revenue is changing, but lack the detailed information needed to understand which individual customers are driving that change and what action should be taken.

Nans Thomas

Nans Thomas, co-founder and co-CEO, is also part of the founding team building Actionable around predictive customer intelligence. Together with Rieul, he is developing the company's technology around a simple idea: customer experience should become predictive rather than simply descriptive.

From Surveys to Predictive Customer Experience

Actionable is positioning its technology as a new layer between raw customer data and business decision-making.

Traditional customer experience tools often depend heavily on surveys and samples. Actionable instead aims to analyse the entire customer base, giving companies a much more granular picture of customer behaviour.

The company's platform uses AI and a semantic layer that helps organise fragmented CRM and customer data into a common business context. This is particularly important for large organisations where customer information is spread across multiple systems.

Proven Results With Large Enterprises

Actionable is already working with major European businesses.

The company says Carrefour achieved a seven-times return on investment from its platform, while OUIGO recovered its launch costs within just a few weeks of deploying the technology.

These examples highlight the company's broader ambition: not simply helping businesses understand customer sentiment, but giving them information they can use to make measurable commercial decisions.

What's Next for Actionable?

With its latest funding, Actionable is preparing for its next stage of growth. The company plans to expand its sales operations, strengthen its research and data-science teams, continue developing its platform and accelerate its international expansion, particularly in the US.

As businesses increasingly look for ways to reduce customer churn and improve retention, Actionable believes predictive AI can give companies an advantage by showing them what is likely to happen before it happens.
